The obligation for French companies to be able to receive and issue electronic invoices as of July 1, 2024 is a major challenge that must be anticipated. Indeed, the implementation of the obligation to issue and transmit electronic invoices will require an exhaustive analysis of all internal and external invoicing flows, information systems (ERP, invoicing tools, Purchasing platform, Editics, Portals, litigation management...) and their degree of automation (order and reception reconciliation, electronic data interchange (EDI), electronic archiving, management of referential data...)
The tax authorities estimate that the gains will be more than 4.5 billion euros per year (see PLFR 2022 preliminary assessment) thanks in particular to the reduction of the administrative burden of tax returns, the elimination of paper and the fight against tax fraud.
SAP not only wants to facilitate the adoption of e-invoicing and e-reporting for companies, but also to support companies in transforming this new tax reform into an opportunity to:
Standardize invoicing and payment processes to further reduce invoice processing costs,
Strengthen the automation and control, and traceability of tax returns,
